Team Up to Strike Out SCA!

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! We're teaming up to strike out Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) on Wednesday, February 19, at Olathe School District's Instructional Resource Center. Our goal is simple - we want to get ahead in the count against SCA to save the lives of youth in our communities.

The American Heart Association reports that up to 9,500 youth are affected by SCA annually. This equates to one youth, every hour, every day we lose each year. 

To help get ahead in the count to save lives, we're teaming up with Olathe School District, the Olathe Fire Department and Athletic Testing Solutions to provide:

1. Free Hands-Only CPR and AED Training for up to 8 small groups at a time in 15-20 minute rotations all day for everyone that attends (we encourage adults, families, and students to attend).

2. Youth Heart Screenings for up to 34 registrants. Also, discounted pricing will be available, as ATS is committed to ensuring that all children have an equal opportunity to receive the ATS Heart Check, providing valuable insight into their heart health.

You can make a difference by learning more about CPR. Providing effective bystander CPR immediately after sudden cardiac arrest can double or triple a victim's chance of survival.

We're teaming up with our friends at the Olathe Fire Department to provide free CPR/AED training and tips at Olathe West on January 17, as they take on Olathe North in a basketball extravaganza! All boys and girls teams will be in the house - look for us inside the Events foyer.

We'll be keepin' the beat with the American Heart Association's Hands-Only CPR Playlist, as well as showcasing PulsePoint's Respond and AED apps for you to download. We hope to see you there!
